Hello and good morning!
The day is cloudy but warm and what one would describe as ‘close’. There is a slight breeze so hopefully it won’t develop into ‘headache’ weather.
Order of the day is dentist! Hubby’s turn today (mine is Friday) and everything is already paid for. Deep Clean is the name of the game, though according to the NHS dental charges, a descale and polish is included in the check up and first tier price of £23. 80 as standard.
Now the recommended ‘deep clean’ has been pushed into the second tier of £65.20. At least the dentist is doing it rather than a hygienist who charges £25 to £40 and attacks you with a chainsaw and mallet. I’ve had that done once and felt like hammered steak. My gums bled, and the stupid woman had tried to remove ‘plaque’ that was actually a crown.
They are blaming Covid of course for not doing the descaling at the initial appointment as it requires water sprays and exposure to droplets of saliva.
Other than that, we have a quiet day. Hubby has been working on his boat which is now fibreglassed and he is about to mount the engine………… except he’s come across a small snag and the brass plate he was going to improvise with is not brass at all but some hard scrap metal that has been sprayed and he can’t drill it. We shall be looking for an alternative in town.
