Welcome to my response to Frank’s Truthful Tuesday today when his question is
What impact, if any, has the pandemic, and specifically last year’s lock-down had on your reading habits?
There was a time when I was an avid reader, getting through between 2 and 5 paperbacks a week. I loved James Herbert, Stephen King, John Saul, and Dean Koontz, then added David Baldacci, Matthew Reilly, Erica Spindler, Tess Gerritsen, Sandra Brown, Judith McNaught, Erica James, Nora Roberts and until Tom Cruise ruined the character, Lee Child to my groaning book shelves.
I don’t read much now, and this actually has nothing to do with Covid. I have books on the shelf purchased two Christmases ago that I haven’t opened, and one of the last ones I read will be finding its way to the charity shop when we are next passing.
To be honest, the pandemic hasn’t really changed much in my entertainment or ‘me’ time.
The days go by pretty quickly as we always seem to be doing something but I get a lot of pleasure from posting on my blog and reading those I follow.
We still enjoy a leisurely walk, though both of us miss Maggie so very much as we used to go out a lot more when she was with us. It’s hard to believe it’s 9 months since we lost her.
Maggie leave a huge hole 💜
She has, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier 😦
No I can understand that 💜
Thank you
💜💜
Time marches on, regardless of how much we wish it wouldn’t.
I feel your pain, old friend.
Thanks Robert. I am lucky in that so many people here have dogs and understand.
Absolutely.
Have you still got Chelsea?
Yes, fortunately!
She’s still a little rascal who keeps us perpetually on our toes.
Bless.
I’m sorry you miss her so much Di! Its terribly hard when you had a routine and having a dog is good for that. I love books. And reading and I read a lot more now thanks to covid. xx
Thanks Carol Anne. We hope to get a new fur baby before too long. Maggie will always be my baby though.
