Share Your World 16th August

Melanie is doing something different with her SYW questions over the next few weeks.
Check out the details here

I’ve copied and pasted the questions and images from her blog post today

7-15-2021  When you just need to forget the world for a few hours, what helps you get away from it all?  (Fuzzywig the Stoner Raccoon)
A long walk either in the woods or on the beach………. preferably just Hubby and me.

7-22-2021  If you woke up tomorrow with a unicorn horn extending from the top of your head, what would be the biggest advantage and disadvantage of your new appendage?  (Mitzi the Horny  FRIENDLY Unicorn)

Disadvantage would be the likelihood of spearing Hubby. Advantage could definitely help with socially distancing as I’d poke them in the eye to get out of my way!

7-29-2021  What is the creepiest thing you’ve ever seen someone do, that you’d be willing to talk about, of course?  (Snuggle The “I Like It Kinky” Friendly Bear)

Someone giving someone else a neck massage wearing rubber gloves………… the washing up kind: ie. marigolds.

8-5-2021 What’s the silliest or pettiest thing that tends to really upset you?  (Rainy, The Wickedly Obsessive Rain Loving Skunk)

Silliest is leaving a dribble of milk in the carton and putting it back in the fridge.

How comfortable are you with meeting others who are very different from yourself? (no judgment implied.  Different in any way you’d like to think about – different cultures, different races, different mind set (opinions)?

I am a People Person and comfortable meeting most people. I do not feel at all comfortable with heavy drinkers, smokers or those I have witnessed abusing their dogs. At the moment though, I am keeping my distance from everyone as much as possible because of the present Covid situation. My mask is now the first thing I put on when I go out, even though I have received both vaccination jabs.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  2. Loved your answers, Di!

  3. Thanks, Di for Sharing Your World! Another amazing gratitude meme to see! Wonderful! 🙂 I liked what you did with your ‘magical’ unicorn horn. Wouldn’t that be AWESOME though? I bet everyone would soon keep the safe six foot distance from you! LOL Washing up gloves to give someone a massage?? That is odd and the tactile sensation would creep me out certainly! O_o I’ve heard it said that even people who are fully vaccinated may not be ‘immune’ from Delta. But I think one has to be around a lot of people to contract it, and the result is a lot more mild than the full blown thing is. Good on you for keeping safe!! My dear hubby would do that, or would put an empty one back in the fridge. I asked him if he thought the plastic carton was going to go ‘off’. He didn’t think I was amusing. Have a great week and I’m going to catch up on all your posts I’ve missed during last week when things were so crazy here.

    • It’s true that even being double jabbed doesn’t make you immune to infection, just reduces the symptoms but you can still pass it on. Masks are still the norm for us when out.
Hope things are more settled for you now and you enjoy reading my recent musings!

  5. Thanks for the great answers! I’ll keep my distance from that horn… it’s probably worse than my cat’s back claws!
