Take Seven 13th August

It’s Friday!

Welcome to my Take Seven compilation which incorporates all 21 words (or derivatives) from the Three Things Challenge for the past week.
You are most welcome to join in using as many or all of the words too. Just pingback to this post and then leave a link to your post in the comments so that I can see it and respond directly.
As always, have fun, and I hope you enjoy this week’s effort.

Our words were:
chance, ethics, fair, ghost, girl, heel, injury, knee, man, most, nice, odd, persuasion, quota, rest, romantic, rose, saw, touch, while, yes.
She’s had her fair quota of heels of the male persuasion. Some were odd in their behaviour, others had no ethics, but what annoyed her most was that they all saw her as an easy touch, and to add insult to injury, bled her dry one way or another, then dumped her for girlfriends new.
For years she remained single, friendly and outgoing, but not encouraging romantic relationships.

It had taken a while to get her to accept him as a nice guy and be the man in her life.
Taking her hand, he got down on one knee and proposed with the most perfect rose she had ever seen.
It was time to lay the ghosts of her past to rest and take a chance.
Quietly, she said ‘Yes.’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
