We’ve had a fair amount of thunder today and the much needed rainfall has filled our three water butts a treat.
Watching the clouds rolling across the sky and out to sea has been very relaxing in its way, and one thing I have come to recognise is the pre-rainbow sky.
The sky turns a purply gray and the rainbows that materialise are awesome in that most are doubles. Since we moved to Lincolnshire in 2007 (with a gap 2014 to 2017) we have never seen so many double rainbows, but here on the coast, they are stunning and bright.
The one this evening was no exception and we were out with the cameras snapping away before the rain hit again.
I got some lovely shots over the back of our house.
Can you see the second rainbow?
And the view from the front wasn’t too bad either
The trouble is they fade so fast.
Most of these were taken with the Nikon, but Hubby took some with the Canon. I think this is the best selection of double rainbows we’ve managed to capture.
Hope you enjoy the magic.
Wow!
Thanks Jen
🙂

They are amazing here.
Your one special rainbow!
They are lovely!
Indeed.
They are so stunning and beautiful. I’m glad that you managed to capture the double rainbow 😀
I’ve taken other pictures in the past, but none have come out so well as these, even though I used the same camera.
wow! That is so awesome! I’m jealous! I’ve never managed to get a picture of a rainbow! X
Happy to share Carol Anne.
