Today is Thursday 5th August

It’s another glorious day so we won’t be doing much.
The washing is done and drying outside, Hubby has hoovered throughout and I have just had a passing flit with the duster. The forecast is for thunderstorms and heavy rain, but we can see nothing on the radar picture.

Blood tests today. This will be the first time with the new surgery so we will be meeting some more of the staff as we are going to the sister surgery. The two are on the same telephone number and do full M – F cover. On the occasions I’ve had to ring the surgery, the wait time is either non existent or just a few minutes as they don’t have a long message of various options and then more waiting time. You get the initial chest pain and to call 999 message, then it’s through to a short one about giving the receptionist as much information as possible before you are connected. Much better, and even when I had to wait being 2nd in the queue, it wasn’t for long.

It’s my Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary today, and they would be celebrating 71 years. A candle is burning for them and I have a special post to put out later. It just needs a bit of tweaking.

Hope your day is off to a good start. Take care and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Good luck with the new doctor(s) and staff – I hope it goes smoothly! Today is a busy day for me too. Hope the rain holds off for a bit.
