“ Blogging isn’t about publishing as much as you can. It’s about publishing as smart as you can.” — Jon Morrow
IMO this depends on the blogger.
Yours truly publishes several posts a day (yes, I’m a windbag and I’ve never denied it)
but I like to think there is variety here and something I write is of interest to someone.
As for being smart, well, that depends on the topic as I know a little bit about budgets and money management as well as dogs and the odd diet or two, if anyone wants to know.
I like to rise to certain challenges too, though confess in recent months I’ve cut back on some but again, my response depends on what inspiration is forthcoming at the prompt.
Also, you don’t have to blog every day (I’m currently on a streak of 1277 days of windbagerism by the way) to be a success at blogging. Some of the bloggers I follow post weekly or once a month and it is always interesting reading.
Do we as bloggers post for our audience, or for ourselves? I blog because I enjoy writing, doing challenges, and responding to or making comments on something that has piqued my interest or triggered a memory. Isn’t that the general idea?
