Blogging Insights Quotes: 2nd August

Dr Tanya is our host for the Blogging Insights which has seen a bit of a shake up in recent weeks.
Blogging isn’t about publishing as much as you can. It’s about publishing as smart as you can.” — Jon Morrow

IMO this depends on the blogger.
Yours truly publishes several posts a day (yes, I’m a windbag and I’ve never denied it)
but I like to think there is variety here and something I write is of interest to someone.
As for being smart, well, that depends on the topic as I know a little bit about budgets and money management as well as dogs and the odd diet or two, if anyone wants to know.
I like to rise to certain challenges too, though confess in recent months I’ve cut back on some but again, my response depends on what inspiration is forthcoming at the prompt.

Also, you don’t have to blog every day (I’m currently on a streak of 1277 days of windbagerism by the way) to be a success at blogging. Some of the bloggers I follow post weekly or once a month and it is always interesting reading.
Do we as bloggers post for our audience, or for ourselves? I blog because I enjoy writing, doing challenges, and responding to or making comments on something that has piqued my interest or triggered a memory. Isn’t that the general idea?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Blogging for yourself gives readers a glimpse of the real person on the other side of the screen. I love reading blogs written by people in other countries as it provides a small look at cultures, language, traditions, and celebrations different from my own. I enjoy your blog immensely!

I think this clinches the whole debate.
