Take Seven 23rd July

It’s Friday!

Welcome to my Take Seven compilation which incorporates all 21 words (or derivatives) from the Three Things Challenge for the past week.
You are most welcome to join in using as many or all of the words too. Just pingback to this post and then leave a link to your post in the comments so that I can see it and respond directly.
As always, have fun, and I hope you enjoy this week’s effort, which may have some truth in it and fits in nicely with yesterday re-post of Dog Whisperer.

Our words were:
animal, betray, double, duet, forever, friend, gist, honest, hump, lies, party, petty, pretend, single, sorry, story, true, trust, tune, wet, whistle

Everyone has a story. Perhaps this is mine, or part of it, though no doubt there are many like it.
The gist of the matter is I have a way with people. They seem to sense I will not betray a confidence, there is no double standard, and I am a friend they can trust.
I usually see through petty lies and will not pretend to believe what is said, purely because someone said it. This has led to some parties getting the hump, but to be honest, that is their problem, not mine and perhaps I should feel sorry for them.
It is true that this has spread to dogs too. The animal and I will share a private duet of understanding, a tune unique to us enhanced by the pressure of a wet nose and soft whistle.
Not a single day passes that I don’t count my blessings for this gift, which I hope will stay with me forever.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I think this may well be truth and not fiction! At least I hope so!!

    • It is, this is so very me. I am very much a people person and genuinely care. The dogs are an added bonus, and I think my Dad for passing on this gift as well as the one of music.
