Evening Prom Walk 8 July

These past couple of nights we have taken to walking Kela along the prom on the route she and her owner take on a regular basis.
Last night we took the Canon and Hubby took some shots of the beach and skyline from both directions.
In the distance, he could make out a fire and people were having a BBQ.
The zoom is really good as this was way up on the beach from where we were standing.

Turning round, he was greeted with this
He also took the opportunity of taking some pics of Kela with me attached
I’ve got a letter to post and two poo bags to deposit when we go out for our first evening walk in about half an hour. Then just before bedtime when it is nice and cool, we’ll go for our final walk, probably along this route.
It’s nice to be out walking a dog again, though of course none will take the place of Maggie.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Some awesome pics and even a red sunset in the distance. Both you and Kela looking good. πŸ™‚

  2. Great photos! It’s interesting how much more you walk with a dog. Everyone I know with a dog says all the time that they never walked as much before they had dogs. On top of the joy they provide, they cone with health benefits too.

Maggie will be looking down and smiling πŸ™‚πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Kela looking very relaxed! That zoom is wonderful.

  5. Looks like our beach walks in the fall. Dogs are so kind to walk us – even “borrowed” us.

Looks like a pleasant walk along the beach! Kela is even larger than I first thought!

    Brilliant pics. KL ❀️

  8. I’m glad you are getting a little bit of puppy love, even though it isn’t Maggie. They all have a special place in our hearts, one that can’t be filled by another dog. Fortunately we can make a bit more room for another place, hmm? Kela is lovely and the pictures wonderful!

    • My heart expands to make room for the new furbabies, but Maggie will always have the biggest part. Kela isn’t as tactile as she was, but we have both had noses and hints for fuss. It’s been a good week.
