Today is Tuesday 6th July

Hello and good morning!

After a stormy night, the day dawned cool and overcast. That has now changed and we have sunshine, so it looks like it’s going to be another muggy day, though intermittent showers are forecast. We are the ‘jelly in the doughnut’ as the clouds are going round us.

I’ve got a doctor’s appointment shortly so this will only be a short entry and I’ll be back later.
Kela is checking out every available floor space in the bedroom to find the place that is ‘just so’ at night.  She had a midnight wee (got to be a poem in there somewhere, so will work on it LOL!!) and settled around 1am until 6, so I was well pleased with that. Business done in the garden, but she’s not interested in her breakfast whereas yesterday she couldn’t wait to get stuck in. The meds have been administered though, and it is much easier with the syringe. She’s snoozing now, but apparently that is normal. I’m sending an update to her owner every day so that she doesn’t worry. Hopefully the hospital are managing to get her BP down.

Not much on the agenda today other than a dog walk when I get back if  a) it’s not too hot or b) not raining. We are sticking to the same route so that she has continuity and routine.

Hope all is well wherever you are.
Take care and keep safe everyone

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Hope the weather remains good – at least until all dog walks have been taken!

    • Just had the one so far as it’s been a bit too hot this afternoon, and we may have another around 9 ish weather permitting as it looks like we’re in for another heavy downpour

    Hope the Drs went well

  4. I’m glad the doctor’s appt went well and without the stress of last year’s visits (if one could go at all). I’m sure Ms. Kela will tuck in again, when she’s hungry. Or she might be a ‘grazer’ and not used (yet) to a set schedule of breakfast and dinner…OR she just wasn’t hungry at the time. I’m sure things are fine!
