Today is Friday 2nd July

It has been a busy day, though not in actually doing that much.
We slept well for a change, not getting up until after 8, then had a leisurely breakfast.
My smoothie today was kiwi, grapes and half a banana which was accompanied by cereal and the other half of the banana and my must have in the morning cuppa! Hubby had cereal and yogurt.

The weather was cloudy, but very mild, so we went for a walk in the park and along the beach. It was relatively quiet in both, but getting busy, especially the park. We have a new brood of ducklings (5) and the geese are getting anxious to fly. Maybe another couple of weeks and they will be off to different pastures, though likely to return for the night. There are feathers and goose poo everywhere, but the council aren’t bothered about clearing up the latter.

We met up with some friends who moved to the other side of town at the beginning of the year. Their two dogs remembered us and we got trashed. Walking along the shore, it was interesting to see the different shells, stones, coal, chalk and flint, even some concrete and in deciding to pick up a particular shell, the sea snuck up on me and I got the toes of my trainers wet. Hubby was not so lucky and got wet up to his ankles, so when we got home, it was all in the wash and a change of clothes for him. It’s lovely and sunny now so there should be no problem with getting it dry.

After lunch, Hubby went down to our neighbour to put the sticky back plastic screening on her front door to give her some privacy. We have to get another roll as it was not as long as the one we had, but he managed to do two full panes and patched the third for the interim until we can get another roll. She is well pleased.

Hope your day has got off to an excellent start.
Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Funny how the time just goes, but it seems to me you did a lot.
I’ve also been surprised by the sea – well over my shoes! And I had to drive home still. πŸ˜€

I wish it was sunny here, we have had a downpour and we’re set to have more all day and even some hail too.
Glad you enjoyed a leisurely morning! xoxo
