Sara’s prompt this week
Seems a bit obscure, but the challenge for this week is to make us laugh using the prompt – THE NANNY

My mother was a Nanny. Of course that was when she was much younger and didn’t have kids of her own.
By all accounts she made them toe the line though, herding them together so that no-one got lost. Outings were rare, but there were fields to play in, so they all had plenty of exercise. Climbing hay bales was great fun.
She didn’t like my Dad when she first met him, but they say love kind of hits you in the butt when you least expect it to, and that’s actually what he did…….. hit her in the butt.
Goats don’t like reflections you see, and he charged just as Mum was walking by.
Billy and Nanny, a match made in heaven.

In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Oh my gosh, this was such a FUN take on the prompt!!
Hurrah!
Lovely 🌹

Interesting take Di.
My brother looked after a friend’s goat and it charged his patio doors…………. twice. Neither the insurance company or his friend were impressed!
