5 Things Tuesday — Food Aromas

Dr Tanya is our host for the Five Things series.

Some food aromas are even better than the food itself.
What aromas get your mouth to water? Dr Tanya would love to know.

In no particular order,

Fried bacon

Fresh bread

Liver and onions

Freshly baked pasties and sausage rolls

One of my curries

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Agree on the first four. I’m not crazy about curry.

Yummy! Loved your list, Di! Xo

  5. My mouth is watering!

  6. My nose can smell the smells even though they are not there. Nice job.

Your list is so good! I’m very happy to know that liver is on your list! I love it but my doctor has indicated that I shouldn’t indulge in it – ever. I made it because Sparky likes it and I had one helping… I just couldn’t resist!

    • Hubby shouldn’t have it either, or cabbage, another favourite, because it’s high in vitamin K. He couldn’t eat it now anyway and I won’t get it just for me as it doesn’t freeze well.

  8. Thank you for sharing your list.

Oh, I love curries! Don’t care for liver, but stir-fried onions smell great.

    • I only used to like the liver Mum cooked, but liver, bacon, onions cabbage and mashed potatoes were the first things Hubby cooked for me. Wonderful!!
