Today is Monday 14th June

Hello and good morning everyone!

It looks like it’s going to be another hot and muggy day. Thunder is due to hit us later in the week so a good storm will do the garden good and replenish our water butts!

Hubby is resting up again today and has noticed a large bruise coming out on his knee. He can’t remember knocking it, but it’s good a bruise is coming out……….. we think. There’s no swelling, but he still can’t put his weight on it, so is using his sticks indoors.

I’ve been out to check the bank balances and switch some money around. All is good there and ticking over nicely. June is always a heavy month for us, but all being well we shouldn’t have had to dip into our reserves too much.
The roads were becoming busy so I was glad I didn’t have to go far and have no shopping plans for the next few days. Lunch today is cottage pie so nothing too complicated!

I took some more pictures of the Ancient Mariner this morning. Enjoy.
Keep safe everyone

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I bruise easily and those mystery bruises are real puzzlers. Once had one on my hip that was a doozy and couldn’t figure out how it had happened. You’d think I’d remember hitting a hip hard enough to make an injury that big… The roses are magnificent! I hope any rain doesn’t batter them too badly!

I hope hubby is keeping his knee up to reduce any swelling and arnica would help with bringing the bruise out.
I took a leaf out of your book and washed all my floors and cut the lawn before 10am this morning. The washing is out and Ruby is asleep.💜💜

  6. I wish your hubby a speedy recovery. Great images, Di ❤️
