Thanks Rory! Here we go with another 12 fun questions.

12 Questions
Have you learned anything during the pandemic and especially the lockdowns that has changed your outlook on you, your life and or your personality that is truly significant?~
We have discovered that common sense has gone out of the window, and the pandemic has made people ignorant. As regards us and our way of life, not much has actually changed apart from when we go out and then we avoid people as much as possible.
In your ideal world or lifestyle, how much sleep do you think you really need to function at your most optimum level and more importantly – do you get your desired amount daily?
Sleep is a treasure and pleasure, and these days relatively short. I think we need at least 6 hours uninterrupted sleep, but it rarely works out like that.
Are you a thinker, a deep thinker or an active overthinker and if so what do you think about the most and for how long do you need to ‘think’ on a problem before you reach a satisfactory resolve or what steps do you undertake to not think as much?
My mind is always on the go about various things. Luckily any major thinking subject can be discussed and shared before a decision is made.
What are you most terrified of today?
Seriously? The world in general is not a nice place, our leaders are hypocritical fools and practically everyone is out to screw you for a buck.
What do you do for fun or excitement to fill your day/days or week?
Every day is different so we take each one as it comes. Some are better than others, but our aim every day is to make at least one person smile.
What is one of the most important features people should know about you?
I genuinely care about other people.
Whilst in recent times much of life has appeared gloomy and doomed – in the last 15 months or so, what have been 3 really good things to happen in your life?
We’ve changed the car, the house and garden are finally coming together, and we can still meet the bills.
How often do you watch old television series and if you do, what makes for a good viewing on older content in your eyes and do you find that time relaxing?
We don’t have a TV, but do have a large collection of DVDs, not that we watch very much anyway.
How often do you use herbs in your cooking and which ones are your most favourite and why?
I use garlic in most of my savoury dishes and we have mint coming up in the garden again. I may add mixed herbs to my pasta dishes, but at the moment Hubby can’t cope with anything too spicy or herby.
How confident are you about taking a vacation/holiday to another destination that would involve air travel?
Not at all at the moment.
Are you a tidy or a messy or somewhere inbetween type of person?
If you read any of my recent DIY posts, you may have come to realise I don’t like mess. Living on a boat for three years meant we had to be tidy and put things away. Now I don’t like to see ‘muddles’ as my Mum used to call them so try to keep everything tidy.
What is the most useless product you have ever bought unwittingly or accidentally thinking it was more practical than it actually was?
Cheaper toilet rolls. Without counting the number of sheets, we went for softness, or so we thought. Three ply turned soggy and were rough on the important little places, so I dumped a pack of 18 (minus about a dozen sheets on one roll)

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Hey Di, some great answers, l am still looling haha about the toilet rolls, strangely enough l did that, however wiping was not a pleasant experience one iota!! The toilet rolls went into the compost!

    Thanks for taking part 🙂

I had a post many years ago about the quality of toilet paper – the 100% bamboo is like sandpaper! No thanks – I’m willing to kill a tree!

    • I did a couple on the subject some time ago too, from a value for money point of view. You get less puppies for your money, and roll size has not only diminished in the number of sheets, but also the size!!!

  3. It’s always fun to read the answers that others give to these type of questions. The TP? Can be an issue…during the last year though I was grateful to get any at all. Some folks were nuts, hoarding a warehouse full (I guess). My septic system isn’t built to stand anything but one ply. I don’t like using that, it doesn’t do a thorough job in my opinion, but I’d rather buy more TP than pay a plumber because the bog is backed up again! Have a great day, Di! ☺

    • We had a cess pit when we lived in the cottage which is a similar principal and discovered we could only use Andrex classic white as anything else blocked the pipes. Now there are three and four ply tissues around, but they’re not all soft as we discovered.

Lol you arent gonna make that mistake with the toilet rolls again! 😀
