Take Seven : 28th May

It’s Friday!

Welcome to my Take Seven compilation which incorporates all 21 words (or derivatives) from the Three Things Challenge for the past week.
You are most welcome to join in using as many or all of the words too. Just pingback to this post and then leave a link to your post in the comments so that I can see it and respond directly.

This week, I’ve done things a little differently and not only given the words alphabetically throughout the week, but also done my compilation in alphabetical order.
As always, have fun, and I hope you enjoy this week’s effort.

Our words were:

abstract, bubbly, crown, daylight, echo, friend, gas, help, ink, joy, kill, lemons, magpie, neat, outlet, pest, quiet, rise, silent, train, under.

As abstract art went, it was OK if that was your cup of tea. It was certainly a reflection of Deanna’s bubbly personality, and the caricature crown was a hilarious touch on her self portrait.
The daylight seeping in from the window brought back an echo of yesterday, memories of a friend who could gas for hours about everything or nothing in particular. She had often helped Deanna with her exhibits, making sure not to smudge any wet ink on her projects. She was a joy to work with and they would often kill time over coffee and lemon doughnuts at the local cafe.
Deanna’s favourite this time was of a magpie she had seen, and thought it neat to paint it in outrageous colours. It was an outlet for her talent, as she never saw the birds as a pest, rather scavenging angels of the sky. In whatever quiet time she possessed, she would sit and watch the rising of the sun in silence, allowing her train of thought to run riot over the warming rays as they stretched across the walls and the floor of her apartment.
Life was currently kind and her work very popular, but she was under no illusion that the good times would last forever.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
