It was 8 pm, and I could not believe what I was seeing. I eventually got the camera and took these through the glass.

A female muntjac deer. My Mum would have been thrilled!!

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Wandering and sampling the grass, so brave of it.
We’ve both seen deer here before and there are woods adjoining the school field. What with sightings of badgers and foxes too sometimes, it’s quite wonderful.
Very nice.
wow! awesome! Hope you had fun taking the photos! ❤
Wish I’d been quicker though as she was right outside, only about ten feet away!
They say if you live long enough, you will see everything! Just wonderful…
She was so beautiful
Very neat! We have a regular herd of white tailed deer that roam the neighborhood. They love to eat the flowers and in the winter eat all the flower bulbs. I’d love for the neighbors to stop putting out salt licks…
I wish I’d been quicker getting the camera out as the little doe was literally about 10 feet away.
She was totally at ease! I’m glad there’s somewhere the wild creatures can come and cohabit in such a beautiful way! Great shots!
Thanks!
That’s wonderful, I love it when a deer crosses our path, we had one on the front lawn once.
They are beautiful. I hope she found her way back safely to wherever she was going.💜💜
We think so as it’s not the first time we’ve seen them here.
