Share Your World 5-3-2021

Thanks go to Melanie over at sparksfromacombustiblemind who is our host for the Share Your World questions (I sooooo look forward to Mondays for these!)

Would you rather be a super nice person and be depressed all your life, or be happy and a total *sshole?  (Credit goes to Cyranny for this question, aired on one of her “Cyranny’s Quickies” posts.)
Ah, the every silver lining has a cloud question.  Sometimes I’m a depressed *sshole Melanie!

Have you ever made someone cry?
Yep, though usually not intentionally. I made my Mum cry with my music a few times, and I believe some of my poetry has hit on a few emotions.

Are you a dreamer or a go-getter?
I’m too old to be a go-getter, but happy to receive. My dreams were shattered years ago, but now I’ve got something real, and wouldn’t change it for the world.

If you were in a band, what instrument would you play?
I play piano anyway, but always fancied a clarinet or saxophone. However, having tried both and not getting so much as a squeak out of either, I’d settle for drums!

Do you feel gratitude is necessary?
Sadly I think this is something that tends to get overlooked as we search or yearn for something and forget exactly what we have.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    I loved your first response

  2. Thanks for Sharing Your World Di! I think that the first question and your sterling answer applies to everyone. We’re ALL depressed *ssholes now and again. I was listening to Louis Armstrong playing his trumpet one day recently and thought “It takes a LOT of wind to do that!” The same for saxophone or clarinet. Those folks are full of hot air! 😉 (in a good way of course). I envy your piano skills, that’s the one I wish I’d learned in the day. Beautiful gratitude meme, as usual, thanks so much for sharing those and providing this old bat with a bit of sunshine on a Monday morning! Have a great week!
