Fibbing Friday responses : 30th April

Here are my responses to Frank’s questions this week.

  1. What’s the difference between “going on holiday” and “taking a vacation”?
About a thousand bucks and snapshots compared to video footage.
  2. What’s the difference between a “rubbish bin” and a “trash can”?
I ‘refuse’ to answer as I don’t want to offend anyone.
  3. What’s the difference between the “boot” of a car and the “trunk” of a car?
You can put a lot more in a trunk.
  4. What’s the difference between a “nappie” and a “diaper”?
A nappie is forty winks, but a diaper is forty stinks.
  5. What’s the difference between the “pavement” and a “sidewalk”?
Not that much, as cars here park on both.
  6. What’s the difference between “chips” and “French fries”?
French fries don’t fit very well into a computer.
  7. What’s the difference between the “bonnet” of a car and the “hood” of a car?
A bonnet is pretty and decorative, whereas a hood is plain and dull.
  8. What’s the difference between a “rubber” and an “eraser”?
Arnie hasn’t made a film called Rubber.
  9. What’s the difference between a “flannel” and a “washcloth”?
You can fool somebody with flannel, but have to come clean with a washcloth.
  10. What’s the difference between a “pram” and a “stroller”?
A pram carries more weight for running into people whereas a stroller just bounces off.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
