First Pics

I’ve just gone through the pictures I’d taken today and I am really pleased with them.
I lost so much detail with the Nikon when I had to resize them for my blog, but this is not the case with the Canon.
This was the first picture I took, and I cropped it too.

I also took this which has just been reduced in size
On our walk this afternoon, I took these using the zoom and cropped them

Hubby took these of me making my cards with Maggie watching over me:

and these were the end result
The surprise was a by product of the black outlines which made quite nice designs of their own:
This is Hubby’s favourite shot so far:
I think I am going to have a lot of fun learning how to ‘shoot’.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

The abstract cards are colorful and fun! I really like the “by-product” cards too! I thought they were black and white drawings of wheat or roadside flowers! And I love the last photo of you – your glasses frames are lovely – really make the color of your eyes stand out!!

Very good photos and a lovely photo of you.

The cards you have made, my mum used to do a lot like that, so she would have liked these.

    • Thanks Liz. Hope you are keeping well.

I am struggling at the moment. Really wanting to get out where I currently live. I have started packing ready for when something turns up.
I am also angry with care home not keeping me updated about mum. I heard first through my cousin after hospital contacted her, to let her know she was being moved to another hospital and that care home won’t be able to care for her now because of the dementia diagnosis.

      • This happened to my Mum too Liz. She went into hospital having fallen and broken her wrist, but wasn’t able tor return to the home because they could no longer care for her needs. I heard this from the Home when I rang to ask the current situation, not my sister. She gave me no information at all, and had even tried to stop the nursing staff telling me or my brothers anything without running it through her first.

      • Liz says:

After discussing my issues with mum’s new social worker today, via email, I have put my complaint in about the hospital and ward she was on prior to being transferred to a different hospital, regarding my communication needs not being met by the ward.

I have faith in this new social worker, who will be responsible for finding a new nursing home.
We have talked about one that I was nearly going to move her to, so I hope we can get her in there.

The care home, I am awaiting on a couple of things. One being, I want her shopping trolley returned to her room.
I got the, she didn’t come with that. Not on inventory, which they attached. But I replied to them and said, before lockdown, her shopping trolley was in her room and it was there on a few visits, but since I have been allowed back in her room, I noticed it wasn’t there. So I said where it was always in her room, along with what it looks like.

The other is in’s and outs of money she received and spent, since date of deputy paper started to present. Then when I have received that, on a mutual appointment next week, I will come and collect that money, to look after it.

      • It’s added stress you don’t need Liz.

      • Liz says:

Yes, it has. I didn’t get a break from the emailing in different directions, that after I put complaint in at the hospital, I felt teary and thought, I just don’t have it in me to go to work tonight. So I asked if I could put an annual leave in just for tonight and she was fine and understanding about it. Even asked if I wanted Friday off. But I said tomorrow shouldn’t be bad as today, so I hope to be in.

Tiredness has kicked in since 4pm. Going in shower soon and plan to be in bed by 8pm. If I can keep awake for that long.

      • Sleep well Liz. A hot shower may be all you need to relax you fully. Tale care, and remember to look after you too.

      • Liz says:

I certainly slept solid last night. X

  10. I need a better camera, and yours sounds like I could manage it. Is it idiot proof?
