Today is Thursday 22nd April

It is now 4.30 pm and I have only just accessed my blog.

It has been a busy day, but a positive one.
Hubby’s hospital scan went every well and everything is as it should be.
After that was an INR test, and he is back in range, so doesn’t need to have another test for two weeks.
Lunch today was a pasty and beans for him, and I had a tomato, mushroom and green bean pasta bake. This wasn’t had until after 2pm as we invited our neighbour in for a cuppa when we got back from town and caught up with everything.

Hubby has done the repair in the bathroom which was not as severe as first thought. Everything is tidy but we will be buying a tin of paint to do all the walls next time we’re somewhere that sells a decent selection of quality paint.
Today we spent Β£50 in the DIY shop stocking up with paintbrushes, rollers and ground sheets for the next big job. We also got the fence guard wood preserve as it was on special offer, so that will be another thing out of the way.

The sun has been glorious today and we got yet another load of washing out on the line to dry. We are finding it best to take advantage of good weather, hence so many washes, not that we own a lot of clothes or get dirty a lot!

Hope your day is equally as positive.
Take care everyone and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  4. What a busy day!! It’s nice to have those now and then, especially if one is prepared for them. Leaves one feeling a good sort of tired I think. I need to get my butt out and scour the shops for some wood preservative too…as the shutters on my house are starting to age a bit and I think that will keep them looking good for a long time. I need to buy some paint too and do a few touch ups here and there. You’re inspiring as well as productive! Thanks!

  5. We had some drizzle here today. Still no real rain. 😦 I worked on decorating my bowling ball with my aunt’s jewelry today. It was a good day.
