Blog Series Questions: 22nd April

Nip on over to Rory’s blog for this and other things of interest. He’s a versatile chap!
The questions:

As a blogger how important to you is creativity in your blog?
Creativity comes in many guises, especially in the blogging world. Some comes from photography, others poetry, story writing, setting challenges, responding to photo or word prompts, the list is endless. I try to aim for variety, and with short stories, try to have ‘an angle’ or a twist at the end.

If you could describe your blog in one sentence only – what would you write?’
A mix of fun, humour, dogs, people, observations, opinions, card making and budget tips!

With the content you produce for your blog are there topics, genres of styles which are favoured more by your readership audience than others and if so, with everything you do produce what are your top 3?
Some posts I think will appeal don’t, and some I think aren’t that good are popular. I write mostly for myself and my take on things, but at the top of the list would be Maggie/dogs, our daily life and making the most of our money.

Which is your preferred reading in the main – books, blogs or other and what genre?
It takes quite an effort for me to sit down and read a book these days. I read the headlines when I check emails, but most of my reading is bloggers posts.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  4. Sadje says:

You’ve described your blog very accurately

  5. Books are hard to concentrate on these days for me too.

    • Sometimes I feel they are just rehashes of things already written. Several times I’ve started to read something and recognise the story though it’s by an author completely new to me.
