Friday Fictioneers: 23rd April

Our photo this week is provided by David Stewart

The blue and pink orbs glowed in the darkness, shuffling forward in silence.
They were told to follow The Light.
The Light held the answer and would deliver them.
The Wheel of Light beckoned, and once absorbed into its white brightness, they would become pure and eternal.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Beautiful little free verse there. 🙂

  7. It is perfect as is, but I bet you could have sold those extra 53 words to other fictioneers.

  8. GHLearner says:

A lovely story, but also a dangerous lure. Promising the truth always makes me wonder whose truth.

  9. Dale says:

I worry they are all going to be asked to drink the Kool-Aid next…
Then again, this could be legit 🙂
    Well done!

  10. A calm event. How nice!

  11. earthskyair says:

This is both soothing and scary. I think maybe it’s more scary.

  12. granonine says:

Outstanding use of very few words to provide a crystal -clear picture 🙂
