Linda’s Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “mash.” Use it any way you’d like.
Somehow making mashed potatoes by chopping madly at the cooked items in a pan does not have the same texture and appeal as mash made using a masher!
It doesn’t matter how much butter, milk or in some instances cream is added, chopped potatoes are not the same as mashed potatoes.
No-one made mash like my Mum. A knob of butter, and mashing with masher resulted in the creamiest, smoothest, most divine mashed potatoes ever. Serve with onion gravy, cabbage, and liver and bacon, and that’s my favourite meal ever.
First meal Hubby ever cooked for me actually. Yep, useful guy.
