5 Favourite Self Care Tips

Good to see Dr Tanya back.
Today she says
All through February social media has been full of self care and self love. We need a lot of pampering and stress relief after the horrible 2020 that we have lived through.
Well I’m all for a bit of pampering, and in my book it can’t do any harm!
So here are my 5 self care tips which I’ve split into two categories.

Up to 2007 (pre unofficial retirement):

Visit to the hairdresser every 6 weeks for a cut and blow dry.
Chinese/other takeaway once a fortnight or on special occasions.
Long hot bath with loads of bubbles, a decent book, and music.
Sunday drive every weekend, just Hubby and Me plus dog of the time.
An early night at least once a week.

Now (2021)

Walks along the beach/ in the park every day
Puppy fix………. someone else’s at the moment
Cut own hair every 8 weeks
Foody treat once or twice a week (syns taken into account for diet)
A decent cup of tea

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

All of them are good! We need to make sure we treat ourselves well so that we can be there for others!
