Today’s card making

I was given some pretty trimmings by our neighbour and for the past few days have been working on how to use them.
Looking through my box of bits and bobs, I discovered my 5 packs of 3D butterflies and  6 sheets of ‘Merry Christmas’ I bought when we went down for my mammogram in November so I don’t think I shall need any for this December! I have some tiered flowers and a few toppers as well so settled down with the cutting board, sticky tape, scissors, scalpel, ruler and tweezers.

First to make was the one for my great niece who will be 10 in August. I used most of the trimmings my neighbour had given me and was quite pleased with the result.
I decided to make two more ‘cuties’ with the remaining bows and came up with these.
Looking at the top one, I think I need to add something to the top right hand corner as it looks a bit empty. I have some diamantes and flower posies, so will see what looks best.

My final card today was a trip down memory lane and I was glad I’d kept the prototype of my first effort for this design.

The hardest bit was working out which way to do the folds so that it would sit flat for posting!

All in all it’s been a good day, but I was badly in need of a walk after my session today as I had stiffened up a treat!!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
