Today is the penultimate day of February, and it is glorious again!
The washing has been done and put outside on the line to dry. There is nothing like breeze dried linens, and it was something we dearly missed on the boat.
We walked up into town, keeping to the main road rather than walking through the park as we anticipated it being busy because people still come here for day trips.
The streets were therefore quiet, but the supermarket was a hive of activity. A lot of people were just chinning in the aisles, but at least masks are being enforced before you can enter the shops. I can’t wait to get my jab next week, even though we shall continue wearing our masks for months to come.
We got another stew pack as Hubby was able to digest that with no problems, and I made some flapjacks today too. I haven’t made any since school, and checked out a recipe on the internet. I didn’t have the quantities quoted, so guessed it with what I did have as I had to use up some margarine. They haven’t turned out too badly. Nothing like shop bought of course, but I did melt the final bar of chocolate over half of it when it came out of the oven.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give my efforts a good 6.
Not much else on the agenda today. I can hear lawn mowers outside so neighbours are taking advantage of the good weather and the fact that the past few days have dried out the grass! Uh-oh…. Hubby is up and going to do the same.
