Today is Wednesday 24th February

Oh what a beautiful morning!! Like the little bird I can hear singing his heart out, it makes you want to sing too.
It has been a really mild week as our gas consumption has almost halved over the past seven days. We are also down on this time last year and 2018, but 3 units up on 2019.
Some might find it quite sad really that I keep a note of it all, but the comparisons are only through the winter months as I’m preparing the budget for 2022 now.

We have learned that the lady selling the blue rosettes has raised £485.

I think this is wonderful, and although there are not that many closer to town, the park and our estate are full of them. Well done everybody.

Not much on our agenda today other than waiting for phone calls. These will come on the mobile, so we don’t have to stay in. It is so nice outside, only a slight breeze, so we anticipate seeing quite a few dog walkers today. PUPPY FIX!!!

The stew is prepared, so Hubby can whizz his and get some more nutrients inside him. The high protein food supplements are working well, and so far he hasn’t found one he doesn’t like! The collection of puddings yesterday consisted of 4 chocolate, 4 cappuccino and 8 vanilla. His drinks and shakes are toffee, fruits of the forest, apricot and peach, apple and vanilla. The weight is creeping back on which is a relief as it was falling off last week.

So, how is your day going? Hope it has started well, and you have a spring in your step.
Keep safe everyone and take care.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Budgets are important! And you have the skills to work them, Di, and thereby keep control of things. We were talking about iPhones a while back, and photography. You said you had only a Basic phone with a modest camera. I dropped my iPhone 10 and dented the glass in two places, but it still works well. I’ve replaced it now. I’d your like the old model you’re welcome to it? Steve

    • How lovely Steve, and I appreciate the thought. I have a Nikon A10 which I’m very pleased with and it takes some lovely photos. If we go anywhere different, I’m likely to put it in my pocket. Thank you anyway. You are very kind.

Oh sorry, hit submit before finishing. I totally understand you keep track of your gas consumption. My father does too and so does my husband to a lesser degree. Budgeting is important indeed.

Oh, how I love the singing of birds!
