Our walk today 24th February

We had a wonderful walk this morning and were out for almost an hour!
I meant to mention the other day that Geraldine has an alias as another couple call her Blondie. We saw her eating out of their hands, so she either has them well trained or is very trusting of the two legged beasts now that visit her domain. It was quite lovely to see, as she wasn’t greedy, probably knowing that none of her chums would get that close and whatever was put on the palm was all hers.

We had the park more or less to ourselves today, and although there weren’t that many geese surrounding the lake,  there was a lot of noise coming from the island where the nesting sites are.

From the park, we walked up on to the prom where it was a bit busier and I had a puppy fix. Aggie is a spinone italiano and comes up to my waist. She was a little timid and shy to start with, but after a few minutes, I got sniffed, hand licked, and then leaned upon. Her owner has three, but can only exercise one dog at a time as she is on a mobility scooter.
This is a picture I got from google. Aggie is very like the one lying down, and has the softest brown eyes I have ever seen.

We turned the heating off when we got home and opened up the house to get some fresh air through it. Lunch was most enjoyable, and although the heat has gone out of the day now, we intend to go for another walk shortly.
Hubby still hasn’t had his phone call from the doctor, but we were told this could come any time up to 8pm this evening. Hope it comes sooner rather than later though.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Those are great dogs! Like them almost as much as the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon! Glad the weather is good and you’ve been able to get in some walks!
