Tuesday Photo Challenge – Renewal

Frank gives us a different angle for his Tuesday photo challenge, and this week it’s Renewal.
Not of a driving licence, insurance, or something similar, or maybe it could be?
Hubby and I were going to renew our wedding vows on our silver wedding anniversary but didn’t get round to it, and somehow doing it this year for our 30th would look more like mug shots or bank robbery footage in our masks.
So renewal, where does that take us?
It never ceases to amaze me how our roses flourish so well in all weathers.
Already we can see new growth on all three, and buds are forming.

Our Ancient Mariner was a housewarming gift from some very dear boating friends:

The beautiful red In Loving Memory was a gift from some other boating friends after my Mum died in 2018

and our yellow Peace rose is one we bought ourselves

We are hoping to buy two ramblers to go up our trellis housing our clematis. The iron one collapsed last year so Hubby build a new one. We thought the plant had died, but it looks like there is new growth on that too.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I looked at the photo of you both in masks and had to smile. I think it would be a great photo for the wedding album!!

    • Our wedding was very quiet, but I have a fantastic picture of Hubby with two toilet tissue carnations on his head like ear muffs. Happy day. Exactly how we wanted it, just 9 of us in total.
