Good morning!
It’s a warm and blowy day, so a long walk is planned shortly to make the most of it!
Yesterday was one of the best days we’d had for a long while and it has really lifted our spirits.
Showers were had this morning and I washed my hair using a coconut and lychee shampoo. I’d used a baby shampoo (not the posh stuff) a couple of times since my protein shampoo ran out, and my hair was greasy after three days. Don’t you just hate that, when your hair sticks up by itself and you don’t use Brycreem?
It was a shame that the cottage pie didn’t work yesterday, so lunch today will be a cauliflower and broccoli bake as we can whizz it for Hubby. We know he can cope with melted cheese, so hopefully this will be a success. If not, we can try something else.
We’re due to collect the remainder of his food supplement prescription this afternoon, so there’s bound to be something in there he can have. Must make sure I don’t run out of gingernut biscuits though as they are going down very well (and fast!).
Our freezer is still well stocked as we haven’t been tucking into it for obvious reasons, so this is having a good effect on the food budget! I spent almost a fiver less in January that 2020 and we’re around £12 down on February.
Hubby gained a pound yesterday so it’s a relief to see the scales going in the right direction for him. I’ve managed to lose a pound and a half since Sunday’s text in, so well pleased with that. I treated myself to some pineapple and almond cream cheese to go with some crackers yesterday, and that attracts 4½ syns per 25g. The pack is 100g so when I have my double syn day, that will all be consumed as it is not only delicious but moreish!
Off for our walk now to get some fresh air and much needed exercise as that has gone a little bit by the wayside with recent events.
Keep safe everyone.
Glad to hear you are off for a walk in the windy air. It sounds like life is calm right now. Enjoy the peace.
It is a lot less stressful at the moment.
That is good news.
So sorry that the cottage pie wasn’t a winner. Still his weight gain and your weight loss sound great! We are in a big melt – 44 degrees F. Sparky is outside shoveling a trench to drain the water to the street drain…
Oh blimey! Keep safe Val. We are the highest on our estate by about two inches, but our back garden has been waterlogged with all the rain. We didn’t have that much snow to warrant melt waters though.
