Blogging Time

Our provocative question this week:

How many hours, on average, do you spend per day (or per week) on blogging-related activities? And, what do you think you might do with your time if you didn’t spend it on those blogging-related activities?
My time is usually my own and I confess I do spend a lot of it blogging. Actually putting a time on it though varies from day to day and what else we have lined up to do. We have routine things we do every day, the highlight I suppose is changing the order as a means of breaking the monotony, but with current restrictions in place due to the Covid pandemic, there is little outside interest, though we are getting back to having our walks every day.

Sometimes I get so engrossed in what I’m doing, I lose track of time and discover I have spent the majority of the day working on my blog, but have little to show for it.
I will spend an entire evening scheduling my 3TC challenges for the forthcoming week, and if I have time, my Take Seven.  When it’s my turn to host Fibbing Friday, I might do that in one sitting or compose my questions over a few days.

It’s not just writing though. I get a lot of pleasure out of reading other people’s blogs, participating in their challenges or questions and answers posts, and answering the comments left on mine.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I am in a similar position but the last three days I have been on less because hubby is not too well.💜

Running prompts and challenges do take up a lot of time. It’s always lovely to read your blog and to have to visit mine.

I try to limit my blogging to 2 – 3 hours per day. Of course life sometimes has other plans. In some cases I end up putting in 0 hours and then make it up the next day….

    • I open my laptop to check and send emails as soon as everything else is done (appointments, shopping, etc). I don’t usually access my blog unless I know I can apply my full attention to it.

I spend loads of time each day reading and writing but I love it! Blogging is therapy for me. I get so much support from this wonderful community. xoxo
