Taking things in our stride

Hubby and I haven’t been for our regular walks for about a week. He has a good excuse of course being in hospital, and yours truly just didn’t feel up to doing very much.
The cold weather hadn’t helped, so it has been nice these past couple of afternoons to see the last of the snow and walk slowly round the block. Hubby is still feeling tired, so we’re not pushing it, but are managing the extended route round the estate.

Tomorrow he is expecting a telephone call from the surgeon who cocked up did his op, and I am hoping to have one from the surgery to discuss the results of my blood test last week.
Going to be a busy day, but all being well those calls will be received in the morning so we can have the rest of the day to ourselves. We are due to have a warm spell, so although a swim in the sea is not on the cards, we might feel up to a walk along the prom or through the park. I wonder if Geraldine and her friends have missed us?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I’ve been getting out more now that our weather has improved, and I also try to go on the treadmill on some days, I always feel better for it. Xx
