12 Bloggerz! February 2021

Rory is our host for the Twelve Bloggerz questions. You can find out more here
How high are your current energy and wellbeing levels as in are you relaxed, chilled, tense or stressed or do you think that despite everything you are doing pretty well and your mental health is balanced?
On a scale of 1 to 10, I’m about 8 today. I had a good night’s sleep, have had a delicious dinner of pork chops, potatoes, broccoli, peas, carrots, and green beans, and we managed to get out for about 45 minutes for a walk without getting wet. The skies opened just as the kettle boiled after we’d got back.
Overall, I think I’m doing pretty well just now.

Do you perform any ‘refreshing cleanses or routines’ to help you prepare for the day or the week ahead?
Nope. Every day is more or less the same, though we try to vary it by doing things in a different order, or deciding to be rebellious and not do the housework.

When was the last time you had a major ‘declutter’ of the house and do you have one planned again?
We don’t own a lot, so anything decluttered will be because it’s either worn out, doesn’t fit, or is broken.

Do you have a ‘happy place’ you can go to relax and chill out – if so what or where is it?
I rest my case.

What are three of your favourite songs that you listen to when you wish to wind down and let the day pass you by for a while?
No favourites as I don’t listen to music very much now. However, three I am more than likely to play should I sit down at the piano will be Wind Beneath My Wings (for my Mum), Unchained Melody, and my rendition of Theme from the Terminator (go figure!).

Which is more important in your eyes … to be kind or to be nice?
To be kind. I know some very nice people, but a few are not exactly kind to others in their attitude.

When was the last time you experienced a strange and bizarre dream and what was it about and also, what do you think it means/meant?
I don’t remember my dreams as a rule, even the nightmares that can wake me up screaming sometimes. If I do remember those, I write them out of my system, some have even appeared on my blog. The last dream I recall was about Maggie. It wasn’t bizarre or unpleasant, and I wrote a poem about it.

When was the last time you accidentally made yourself jump or you scared yourself?
I honestly can’t remember.

If you had the opportunity of looking 10 years into your own future and living there for a day – would you take the journey

How organic are you and your lifestyle [as in chemical free]
Our homegrown veg is as free as it can be as we add nothing to it, and natural remedies for health are used as much as possible.

How well do you sleep and how many hours are you able to sleep daily and more importantly, how rested do you feel each and every day upon waking?
Sleep patterns have been erratic of late for a variety of reasons. We slept well last night though Hubby was up at 4am, then slept until gone 9am. I might have an interrupted night, but sleep extremely deeply between 6 am and 8 am.

When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone and felt immediately better for it?
Certainly not recently. Going for our walks is OK until we start to see a lot of people, then it’s a case of avoiding everyone, turning round and going in a different direction. It’s not so bad if we know who it is, but again we are seeing strange faces (and dogs) here, and that makes us both wary and nervous.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
