If the government offered to suspend all laws, and law enforcement for 24 hours, letting you (and everybody else) do whatever you wish… Would you be in favor of it, or not?  (Credit for this question goes to Cyranny and her Daily Quickie Question)

Most definitely not. It’s bad enough now with people flouting the rules and response times  so slow due to the current circumstances. The thought of people running amok and doing what they like with no repercussions is bloody scary!

What would be the creepiest thing you could say while passing a stranger on the street? (We’re suspending the whole social distancing and Covid involvement in this scenario)

Your wife/husband knows.

As a child, what did you think would be great about being an adult, but isn’t as great as you thought it would be?

I looked forward to getting married and having kids (well one out of two ain’t bad and I took 2 shots at that) and remember thinking as a teenager that I would be 44 at the turn of the century and millennium, which didn’t worry me. Twenty odd years on, old age sucks.

What, in your opinion, has been blown way out of proportion?
PC……….. and that is not personal computers.

Where is your ‘happy’ place?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Thank you Di for Sharing Your World. What fabulous sayings you have on your wall! I love that healthy/happy combination! I agree that hearing “Your wife/husband knows..” from a total stranger would be creepy indeed. Particularly if your wife/husband had been dead a while…. LOL Have a great week!

    • The plaque was purchased in Amsterdam when we were on honeymoon, but sadly got broken so we don’t have it any more. The motto is on the fridge door though. We have a new plaque now that says Anyone can have a house, but it takes love to make a home. I’ll add that to my post now actually.

    Home sweet home! 💙

That first is JUST LIKE the Purge movie – that’s what we would have to look forward to – if you haven’t seen it – preview – has Ethan Hawke:

    • We’ve seen the movie, and it is scary stuff!!

      • Sandi says:

Right? I think there’s a Sequel. Whenever someone talks about getting rid of the police, I’m like, are you serious? You think it’s bad now…if people know they have nothing to keep them in line…will they choose kindness or wickedness?

  4. John Holton says:

    I agree, getting old sucks.

You are only a couple years older than I am. Love the sayings about the difference between a house and a home….

    Love your house mottos.

fab answers di! I agree about the law and allowing everyone to do whatever they wanted for 24 hours, now that’d be awful!
