It is such a beautiful day, I put some washing on first thing. It was still going when Hubby had to leave for his emergency blood test (the one that took two weeks to arrange and had to be rescheduled due to us being in A&E all day on Monday), so he went up on his own. I managed to get the heavy stuff outside on the line as it was sunny and blowy, so hopefully it’s dried, or is almost dry.
Hubby had a problem with his blood test though. His appointment was at 10 am but they wouldn’t let him in because he was early (five to) and Ms Bimbo on reception said his appointment wasn’t until 10.30. A fuming Hubby rang me as he retreated back to a cold car to wait, and I checked that I had written it down correctly…….. 10 am. I told him this, so he went back to the intercom and spoke to someone else, who came and took his temperature then allowed him in to wait. Five minutes later, he was done and back in the car. I despair.
There is a lot of excitement amongst our elderly residents here as they are receiving their letters inviting them for their vaccinations. Although the back of the surgery building is being used for the rollout, it is NOT being run by the surgery staff, so all is going very well there from what we’ve been told. Good to know something works.
We’ve had one lovely walk through the park and up along the prom, though we’ve had to play dodgems as a lot of other people were making the most of the sunshine. We couldn’t come back through the estate as there were just so many people coming from all directions and there’s nowhere to go to socially distance. We stood back to let one lady and her dog pass, then came straight home.
Dinner today was fish, wedges and peas for Hubby and I made a tomato pasta for me. I added chopped green beans, onions, garlic and mushrooms, and it was delicious!
I’ve had a productive day on the card front, making half a dozen ‘Hello’ cards which I’ll do a post on later.
So far, apart from Hubby’s blood test hiccough, it’s been a pretty good day so far.
Productive days are always good.
Anything depends on the person who is doing it. I have learned this when eating out being such my meal is GF.
glad you had a good day Di! Sorry about hubbys mishap though. xo
Not his fault. Our surgery is dreadful
