What a contrast to yesterday! We have blue skies, glorious sunshine, and little wind.
It is truly a beautiful day, so we will not be spending much time indoors. We intend to aim for at least three, maybe four walks every day, regardless of the weather.
After breakfast, we went for a long walk, up through the park, along the prom, and back through the estate on an extended route which incorporates an additional two roads.
The park was quite busy, so we didn’t follow our usual pathway and didn’t come into close proximity to anyone until we reached the top of the path to join the prom. Three adults I didn’t recognise were coming our way and I thought for one horrible minute they were going to keep coming and not give us anywhere to go to socially distance. Thankfully they stepped back and gave us space.

The beach was quite busy and it was wonderful to watch so many dogs charging about having some fun. Not for them the worry of keeping their distance! No big groups today, just individuals or couples and a puppy fix from a friendly jack russell and a springer spaniel that wanted to show me her ball when we were leaving the prom.
When we got home, we decided to work out in the garden as we wanted to move the four conifers from the junk patch to put two either side of the washing post to divide up the garden.

We’ve done two today and hopefully if it’s nice again tomorrow can do the other two.
Great news on the diet front, I have lost a full kilo this week (2.2 lbs) and I am really pleased. I don’t intend to go mad and raid the post Christmas goodies, but my plan of one double syn day a week when I can have treats and not feel guilty seems to be paying off.
Lunch today for me will be an experiment, so we shall see how that works out!
Have a good day everyone and keep safe.
Enjoy your walks and have a lovely day. 🙂
Thanks Liz. Keep safe.
Hope the walks are good.
Two so far as I got engrossed in card making this afternoon and my shoes weren’t dry after Hubby washed them under the outside tap.
Great job on the weight loss. Your walks are probably a good part of that.
Hopefully, but I have been religiously recording everything in my new diary, and checking syn values before opening packets or putting things in my mouth!!
Are syn values like calories? I am not familiar with the term.
Not really, more like the points system with Weight Watchers for the things we should have in moderation or as a special treat
Oh, thanks. I am familiar with the old school WW point system.
You’re welcome
Congratulations on the weight loss, I know you were concerned! When I dieted, I always found the best way to keep ‘honest’ was to give myself one ‘free’ day a week. I could indulge in no-nos and no guilt. I think it’s a sensible alternative to beating ourselves up if we slip. Guilt is never a good thing in dieting!
According to the maintaining booklet, I can have 2 or 3 days with an extra 15 syns, so as only doing one day is working, I’ll stick with it. I can also have extra As and Bs options every day (usually 2 As and 1 B) so I’m having two of each and that’s working too. Have overindulged by half a syn today (my treat to me!)
My husband is anticipating a puppy fix when we dog sit in February. He really wants a dog….
We’re not ready to consider another, but there are plenty of dogs around us that I can fuss.
congrats on the weight loss Di! I lost a wopping 4 pounds this week! So I am well chuffed with that! Glad you had a nice sunday! xoxo
Well done on your weight loss. That’s terrific!!
🙂
