Today is Thursday 14th January

It’s a horrible day, wet, windy and cold. It’s been raining most of the night, but at least that means no frost to worry about or black ice.
Hubby has an INR this morning, so we hope he is still in range as he has done nothing to thwart that. After that, it’s up to the dentist for his fillings. I shall wait in the car and probably read. I am ΒΎ of the way through my book, so a review will be coming up in a few days. It’s been over a year since I read a book, and this one is holding my attention. I would have read more last night but suddenly I felt very tired, so that was a good sign to turn off the light and snuggle down. The chapter ended on a cliffhanger !!!!!!!

We had invited our neighbour to join us today as she had some major shopping to do, but she said she was going to have a lazy day today. If it stops raining, she may well go out under her own steam anyway.

News of the day is Donald Trump’s impeachment. I think it’s the right decision.

More news is that they are involving High Street pharmacies with the vaccine rollout here in the UK. It has been confirmed in various social media, websites and news reports that our GP surgery is to be a hub for our town, though it will not be run by the doctors there. We will be sent a letter from the NHS in due course to invite us to attend for our first dose. We understand that the rollout is intended to be 24/7, so if we get an appointment for the early hours, we’ll be there.

Hope your day has started well. Keep well and safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  3. HE is still in power until the Senate holds a trial on January 20th. Senate won’t again until the 19th. He has been blocked from most internet sites. We shall see what happens next. I receive an e-mail that seniors would receive the vaccine in February. The weather today will a mixed between sun, clouds, and wind with no moisture. Have a pleasant day and be safe.
