Quickie 7 of 9

No, this is nothing to do with Star Trek. This is the next instalment in Rory’s Quickie series. And for once I’m quicker off the mark!!

Season 1 – Game 07 of 09

Everyone enjoys a quickie right …. l mean it doesn’t ‘always’ have to be over too quick – but just not take toooooooooooooo long either, otherwise where’s the fun for a quickie on the weekend?

They’ll touch base with anything and everything and sometimes none of the above but something else!!

6 Quickie Questions

How is it that sheep don’t shrink in the rain when they get wet?
Same reason they don’t need shorter legs on one side to stand on a hill.
SCOTUS, POTUS, FLOTUS, VPOTUS, COTUS and TOTUS stand for what?
It’s a secret code for the direct line to the White House
2 1 2 2 1 1 ‘of the United States’.
What’s the weather like today where you are?
This morning, cold and frosty, midday warmer and defrosted, this afternoon warm and pleasant, tonight dry, cool and dark!
How quickly do you respond to email messages or texts once you receive them from the sender?
When I was working, my turnaround was same day for enquiries or if more involved, a response to say their message had been received and was being dealt with. Text messages weren’t the thing in the office then.
Now I’m retired, I get so excited when I get a personal email or text, I respond as soon as I’ve read it!
Have you ever discoloured your washing or shrunk something you wish you hadn’t – how, why and what?
It pays to read the label and I laugh when so much today should not be tumble dried. On the boat, we had no choice doing the laundry so were glad our clothes were so old, it didn’t matter.
I had a rather snazzy pair of blue and white knickers once as the dye came out of the navy joggers, and also a couple of jumpers shrunk in the wash many years ago, but it can work the other way too as something I’d knitted stretched to such an extent, I could wear it as a dress……..
a long dress.
How far would you go to get a laugh?
Sadly all entertainment venues are shut at the moment, so I just look across the room at Hubby or he me, cos we make each other smile.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Snazzy blue and white knickers – hahaha – l was saying to Ami earlier l managed to shrink a wool scarf, the first time l have ever had an accident washing. Where Suze is currently staying they are hopless with the washing and Suze says she is glad that most of the clothes she had, don’t fit her anymore due to her body shape shifting – but also because her whites are now pinks, greens and blues.
