A BIG thank you to Melanie for providing us with one of my favourite challenges every week. You can play along by clicking here
QUESTIONS:
What’s a relationship deal breaker for you?
Do you believe in extra-terrestrials?
In the morning, do you hit the snooze button on your alarm (sometimes repeatedly) or do you leap out of bed, ready to face the day?
If you came back in the next life as an animal, which animal would you choose to be? (and even if you don’t believe in that, let’s suspend belief for a moment just to have a little fun)
What’s a relationship deal breaker for you?
I’m afraid I have a few:
bad breath, being a smoker or drinker, dirty fingernails, and fear of spiders. I can deal with mice, but not arachnids.
Do you believe in extra-terrestrials?
Yep. I married one in 1977, separated in 1980 and got my decree absolute in 1981.
Seriously though, I don’t see why not as there has to be more intelligent life somewhere in the universe.
In the morning, do you hit the snooze button on your alarm (sometimes repeatedly) or do you leap out of bed, ready to face the day?
Nope. Alarm is never set as I’m retired. But when I was working, I got up either before or when the alarm went off, however sluggishly. My treat to me was letting it go off on a Saturday and ignoring it. Bliss.
If you came back in the next life as an animal, which animal would you choose to be? (and even if you don’t believe in that, let’s suspend belief for a moment just to have a little fun)
I’d come back as a dog, as long as someone like me (now) adopted me.
If not, I’d come back as a seagull and crap on everyone.
GRATITUDE (Participation is always optional)
What do you plan to work on this year to make it better than last year (personal goals, physically or mentally, or all three)?
I’m hoping to read more as it was something I used to enjoy, but has been kicked into touch over recent years.
We also have plans for the garden, so when the weather’s better we’ll make a start on that.
Bad breath and smoking are indeed bad habits and totally undesirable
Love Love Love your gratitude
Some of those that have walked out of my life have indeed made it richer!
I agree
Thanks Di for Sharing Your World! I married an “E.T.” too – wonder if they were related? 🙂 Heh heh… Good luck with your getting back to books effort, one title that I’d recommend (if you like murder mysteries) is “Where The Crawdads Sing”. I read it in 2020 and really enjoyed it (it was one of those “grabber” type novels, grabbed me from the first and didn’t let go the whole book). It is set in the Southern United States in the 40s or 50s (I believe) though, so maybe that would influence your thoughts? Great goals for this new year and I wish the best of success in your attaining them! Have a very GREAT week Di!
Thanks Melanie. I read an excerpt from Where the Crawdads Sing, but haven’t seen it on the shelves. I have 5 paperbacks to read so should be set for a while, but I will look out for it as I’ve heard it mentioned several times as a good read.
Love #2 hahaha!!
Thanks!
I think a dog’s life is pretty wonderful as long as the owners are like you!
Thank you. The family dogs were always loved, even the one my sister practised her first aid on.
I knew you’d say you wanted to come back as a dog! So do I! Reading is great! Its so much fun!
I am blessed to say I have never been crapped on by a seagull.
You’re lucky, I have and it was the mother load. Ruined my coat.
Yuck!
yep!
