“What, were you expecting a cauldron?”
“What, were you expecting a cauldron?”
‘I don’t know’, said the cat, ‘but the black cloud is a bit much don’t you think?’
‘It is NOT a cloud! It’s my personal sun block, and besides, it goes with the hat.’
The cat sighed.
‘Witches wear pointy hats, and in case you’ve not noticed, that’s the moon in the sky, not the sun.’
‘No matter. I prefer this style, it’s more modern.’
‘Where’s your transport then? Walking is not in my job description. I should be riding pillion on your broom.’
‘Oh that……… I left it sweeping the flat. I hate housework, and fancied a stroll.’
‘It’s NIGHT for heaven’s sake! It’s cold!! And what’s with the tree???’
‘Ah. I thought it looked unhappy all bare like that, so I gave it some lippy smiles.’
The cat ambled slightly in front. This assignment was going to be harder than he thought.
