This week we are dipping our toes into the pool of OPPOSITES. Our challenge is all about “opposing forces” and the use of antithesis in our writing. You will need to use the two opposing words in your response – which can be poetry or prose.
Our words this week are:
– humid and dry
– import and export
He had a dry sense of humour which did nothing to counter the humidity in the room as he delivered his talk on productivity. Many wished he would agree to import some air conditioning for the factory floor to make it more comfortable for the workers. This in turn would increase productivity, but he was a bean counter and couldn’t see that.
Thus his export figures were plummeting, and the shareholders were complaining.
