Thanks to Jim for setting the weekly challenge
Last week we had Herpetologist which included the prompts Alligator/Crocodile/Lizard/Snake/Turtle. This week we have the fruit prompts of Apple/Banana/Cherry/Olive/Orange/Strawberry.
I’ve always loved this track by Meatloaf. I love the beat and instrumentals, and it is just GREAT to drive to at full volume (though other drivers might not think so).
It’s lemons, so citrus fruit like oranges, so hope it’s allowed!
The lyrics are in the clip.
“Life Is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back” is a radio single by Meat Loaf released in 1994. It was the second single from the album Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell and charted on the US Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart at number 17
The second track on Bat II, “Life is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back,” demonstrates a sense of pessimism. Several things are identified as “defective”, including love, sex, gods, childhood and the future.
