I’m a bit late with Nekneeraj’s challenge as my initial idea had already been taken.
However, inspiration struck today, so I’ve come back to it.

The distant future
‘What do you mean it’s a breakthrough?’
‘Come with me. You have to see it to believe it. It’s a miracle.’
Tobias led the way to the lab and the young woman sitting on the cot smiled at them.
He threw the switch on the Xray screen and it flickered into focus.
‘What the hell???????’ his superior stammered.
‘Surrogacy. The butterfly was practically extinct, but we found a way to implant the pupas from frozen examples and this was the result.’
The woman giggle behind them.
‘It tickles. I think I’m about to give birth!’
With that, she belched, and the room was awash with blue and grey wings.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Beautiful 💜🥰
Thanks. The butterflies in the stomach had already been taken, so eventually I thought of this.
It’s so clever 💜

That is a great idea! I wouldn’t do it but it is a nice thought.
Be just my luck to belch caterpillars.

Amazing idea
Thank you. I don’t usually not participate.
You’re welcome 😉
Ha!
I was originally going to go with butterflies in the stomach, but you beat me to it! 😀
Early bird gets the worm! 😉
It was a good take Fandango
I like your take on the picture.
Thanks Lauren. Hope you’re having a good day.
It’s 9 AM. The power was off for a few hours. I stayed in bed and relaxed because I couldn’t do much of anything. 🙂
Good enough reason to stay in bed if you ask me!
It was good. But then, crazy me went in to work on my garage. Overdid it, I am afraid.
Oops. Hope you can rest up.
Hehe! An unexpected event and then I started to think about it and my hehe turned to “eww”!
