This is Michael’s challenge this week.
This week write about Fairies.
Do you see them as friendly, helpful, benevolent creatures or is your perception one of fairies as evil, malicious creatures?
Write about their personality, their good and bad traits.
Do you believe in fairies?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to open the drapes and see that the Lawn Fairy has been and cut the grass. Better still, the diamond dew or frost is actually fairy dust to stop it growing until late Spring.
Just imagine never having to do any more housework. The beds would make themselves, the laundry would be freshly pressed and ready to wear at all times, no washing up, no pushing the vacuum cleaner, dusting, spring cleaning or getting rid of dust mites and cobwebs in overlooked corners or awkward places.
The Chef Fairy would prepare meals as you thought of them, instantly appearing on a plate at your side. Takeaways don’t count.
For every good there is a not so good.
The Lawn Fairy would have to be on good terms with the Mower. We all know they can sometimes develop a mind of their own and play up by not wanting to start, blunt blades, or just not like running when the grass is wet.
The household fairy we had growing up, but never appreciated them did we…. aka Mum.
And the chef? He’s a practical joker and those lovely meals would ooze calories, carbs and fats under the guise of deliciousness and moreishness, so we would have to find a good Tailor Fairy who would alter our clothes accordingly, yet always make us look slim.
