How supportive are your family(or friends) of your blog?
Other than Bro and SIL in NZ, as far as I know my family have no interest in my blog. I doubt if they even know the name of it. A few friends know of it and I think they drop in from time to time.

Do they do anything to help with your blogging efforts?
Some of my family are great blog fodder material! I have some happy memories about growing up and some funny stories too.

Do they read your work and offer a critique, if so, how do you react to it?
See first question. They may comment and I always respond.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Well consider us all your family.

Sometimes it is just as well that they don’t read – I’d welcome any of my family to read my blog but they just don’t care to. Besides the variety of political persuasions might cause some ruffled feathers at least among the more sensitive in the family… I’m good with just my friends reading (who are all bloggers here on WP and on Xanga)!

    • The bulk of my family isn’t really interested as they have their lives to live and I don’t enter into them. It’s OK as I have little in common with any of them anyway.

  3. Proud to be a part of your blogging family 🎉

Even when they do not actively participate in our blogging process, our family and friends are reflected in our writing since they influence who we are.

  5. Lovely perspective. Sometimes it’s less stressful if our friends (IRL or otherwise) are the people who support us in our blogging efforts!
