As always, have fun, and I hope you enjoy this week’s effort.
Our words were:
automatic, chortle, cover, cringe, dart, dry, festive, flag, fluff, hair, help, home, mine, move, pretty, pump, reason, run, step, think, white.
It was an automatic reaction, a gutsy chortle when the flag overhead crashed down onto Santa’s head. Trying to control his laughter, he helped himself to the glass of dry sherry on the table with the traditional cookies, then realised it was only a prop and spat it out.
The festive season had got off to a rocky start already, but the tears began to run down his cheeks as he couldn’t think straight. The fluff of white hair stuck up at all angles made the blood pump through his veins at such a rate, there was no way he could move to help the stricken man up as he failed to cover his hysteria. He was asked to step aside by the first aider to ensure there was no damage done to Santa or the grotto for that matter, and the health and safety team were trying to ascertain a reason why the accident had occurred in the first place.
So much for a homely scene with pretty decorations. People were darting about in all directions when the machine starting spitting out fake snow. It was like walking through a mine field, the entire situation enough to make Senior Management cringe at the potential losses and damages, but as floor manager, all he could do was laugh harder.
