The day has dawned grey, cloudy and cold. I can hardly feel my fingers to type.
It’s raining at the moment, so we’ve had another cup of tea before going out.
Hubby has an INR this morning and hopefully will still be in range. We are also monitoring his blood pressure following the discovery that two recent medications have potential side effects to raise blood pressure. The starting of these also coincides with his INR going doolally. We try to look after ourselves, but sometimes wonder why we bother!
No plans today. Lunch is going to be sausages, onion gravy, mash and veg. No little nose twitching in the doorway as they cook.
We had our first Christmas cards yesterday, one from friends who knew about Maggie and one from my Aunt who didn’t and thus included her in her greeting. All being well the ones I sent out will start hitting mats in the next few days. I need to make a list of local card deliveries and see how many more I’ll need. I have lots of trimmings in my kit now, so will set to over the weekend as we’ll be busy tomorrow, and I have some blog work to prepare today for tomorrow as it’s my turn to host the Fibbing Friday.
Hope you’ve all had a good start to your day.
Take care and keep safe everyone.
I must start thinking about cards, I always leave it to the last minute.
Is it something Hawklad might show an interest in?
I managed to get half addressed yesterday and the other half will get done today. I thought I had Christmas stamps but I was mistaken… so I’ll need to buy some as the Disney Villain stamps and the flag stamps just don’t cut it in my book.
Ha! I think that’s great for an ‘alternative’ Christmas! I have Christmas stamps ready for next year. Luckily even if the price goes up in April they remain valid as they just had 2nd on them, not a monetary value.
