Something I wrote in the hospital car park today.
Butterflies and Rainbows
A butterfly flitting from flower to flower,
Delicate wings absorbing light,
Rainbows awash with vibrant colour,
Reflections of my life.
Touching souls and hearts alike,
Leaving no mark as they pass,
Beauty and wonder, behold the sight
Captured forever through glass.
Warm thoughts and wishes,
Love knowing no bounds,
Sweet caresses and kisses,
Smiles replacing sad frowns.
Butterflies touching rainbows,
Colour and fragility combined,
The swell in my aching heart grows
As I see them in my mind:
My loved ones waiting patiently for me,
Fur babies, parents, all,
Alive and whole, young and pain free,
They’ll greet me when I get The Call.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Beautiful. Inspiration hits at the most random times, and often makes for the best writing 🙂
I already had the title, just nothing to go with it.
You did very well!
thanks

Thanks. The title had been running through my head for a couple of days, but I didn’t know what to put with it.
That was lovely!
Thanks Pam.
Profound thoughts beautifully penned.

Beautiful and touching.
thank you!
Beautifully expressed thoughts. 🙂
Sometimes having to wait can be a blessing in disguise as you get a little Time out. 🙂
Thanks Sci. I actually listened to the radio too and heard a few old favourites to sing along to.
Nice 🙂
