Share Your World 11-23-2020

Questions:

  1. What is worse than a dentist with bad breath?
    A lover with BO!
  2. Have you ever been rejected by someone that you liked, or been told that you were not good enough for somebody else?
    Lost count of the number of times I was rejected by someone I liked, and one had such a low opinion of me, I didn’t feel good enough, period. Thank heaven that’s all changed!!
  3. Did you ever want to have toast for breakfast, only to find that all your bread was covered in green mold?
    We don’t eat a lot of bread, so to find it moldy isn’t unusual.
  4. Did you ever sneeze so hard that your whole body hurt?
    Yep. Put my back out too.
  5. Did you ever buy clothing on the internet that did not fit, but you wore them anyway, since you didn’t want to pay the $5 shipping charge to send them back?
    I’ve only just bought knickers and tee shirts on the internet and they fit OK. I wouldn’t have purchased them though if I had to pay to return them if they hadn’t.


    We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK, so my gratitude is for having so many friends here in WP and around me who shared in the loss of Maggie. Their kindness and words of comfort were amazing, and I thank you all.
    Maggie was part of our lives for nearly a quarter of my lifetime, and half of our time together as a couple. At almost 16, she extended her life by half again to her predecessors, and for that I am thankful to have had her as long as we did.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Thank you Di for Sharing Your World. Maggie was very special, and such a beautiful dog. I’m grateful you shared her with me; and thankful she had a long and very happy life! Both of you deserved the blessing of companionship too, with your husband as a welcome third in the trio! Have a wonderful and peaceful week, and watch those sneezes! They can creep up on a person and one can do themselves an injury if not careful! 😉
